Foggy mornings

Farm Update: Things are in full swing on the rooftop. We just passed the halfway mark between Summer and Fall. As we head closer to the Equinox the quality of the light begins to change, and the rhythm on the farm feels more steady. I also expect we will see some hot days once again. The foggy mornings have been a nice welcome for us. We spend our days harvesting, weeding, and prepping for our popups and deliveries. We will also be planning for the Fall! I need to decide what crops we will overwinter and if there is anything we will be planting in September to harvest in the Spring. I am late on getting my bulb orders in, but I will do that today I hope! Our zinnias and dahlias are producing many blooms a week. As well our lisianthus just started. Lisianthus is a great cut flower and one I didn't know anything about before I started my business. We buy the starts in the early Spring (they are sown in November/ December). It takes a full 9 months from seed to harvest!

This week we are also hoping to turn over a couple roofs to plant! If you'd like to get dirty we are taking volunteers.

We will also continue to donate the proceeds from our Chocolate Cosmo bundle sales (10 bunches) to POOR Magazine.

Thanks!
Joanna
